Were Screwed '08

Anybody who has had the misfortune of asking me a political question knows that I am very opinionated when it comes to politics. I will let anybody who wants to know where I stand on an issue have an ear full. Kris and I can no longer talk about politics in our house because of this; just for the record, I am right and he is wrong.

Kris told me that he saw a bumper sticker that he thinks he should get me "Were screwed '08" That is how I feel. I am sorry to all of you true Obama-ites and McCain-ites. I don't like either of them. I feel like they are both a bunch of liars who say to me what they think I want to hear and will say to my husband what he wants to hear. They don't have my interest at heart, they have their re-election at heart and those companies and special interest organizations that contribute to their campaigns. Just look at Washington latest act, this bill that is suppose to save all our lives is filled with 100 billion dollars that has nothing to do with the economy but their re-election campaigns.

The only one who I remotely like is Sara Palin. It is not necessarily because of her views but because I don't feel like she has been institutionalized by Washington. She is still human. Some people say that she doesn't have the experience for the job. You know what I have to say to that, "We have centuries of experience back in Washington, look where all that experience has gotten us." I want new faces. I want new ideas. I want people who have not been bought by companies or special interest groups. I want those people back there to know who they work for and if they don't vote the way we want them to then they will not be re-elected. I am so sick of Washington and failed promises.

So this year at the voting polls and I am not voting for a single incumbent. I don't care what party they are and I don't care what their platform is. I am voting for the newbie. Now, for president I am really in a conundrum, do I vote for the one I hate or for the one I can't stand. Neither of them are the incumbent nor are they newbies. What do I do? I don't know but what I do know is we are definitely in trouble for at least the next 4 years!
