Good Friends and Good Times

Kris and I are socially inept. We don't go out and socialize very much. We are very content to stay home and stare at each other (yes, we are very vain people). Good thing we live by people who think that we are somewhat good company or maybe they are just being polite, probably the later. We have been invited to smore parties, couple's dinner (which we did not attend) and I have been invited, multiple times I might add, to scrapbook night, aka ladies night out, which I have declined every time.

Last Friday night my neighbor, lets just call her Rachel, came over and insisted that I attend a scrapbook night. I gave her the lousy excuse of "I don't have anything to scrapbook" She then proceeded to twist my arm and practically yanked it out of its socket while dragging me her car. I yelled to Kris to call the cops because I was being kidnapping but he just said not to wake him up when I got home (supportive huh). So off we went to the ladies night out.

Wow! What have I been missing, had I known all the fun that they have I would not have missed a single time. The sponsor of this ladies night out, lets just call her Carrie, had strobe lights and lots of hot music for us to dance to. I was shocked to see, lets use the names Crystal, Marianne, Shauna, and Tamara enjoying themselves. It was CRAZY but way, way fun; it reminded me of the good old high school days.

Later, another poor first timer showed up, I will pick the name Natalie. Rachel had threatened the life of her 18 month old girl if she didn't show up. She was a little leery at first but quickly jumped in with the rest of us. It was awesome!

Next morning, Kris asked how it was. I told him that we scrapbooked, talked, and played Guitar Hero (which is totally awesome!) I told him that Crystal is the best singer and Marianne rocks on the drums. I also told him that I am dropping the kidnapping charges I filed against Rachel because I enjoyed myself very much and was happy that I went.

Good thing that we have neighbors looking out for our social lives because Kris and I totally suck at it. And you bet that I am going to the next ladies night out. I can't wait to see what other crazy things these ladies do.
